House Song is the first piece Hallie and Jo ever collaborated on and was the start of their journey together as Raising Daughters. The story details the shifting relationship of a mother and daughter as they grow older. Born out of a more theatrical lens, the song places us firmly in a house that starts to reflect the decay and strain of the family itself. Coming from the daughter’s perspective, the song acts as a diary for the young woman as her mother and home slip away.

Nor’easter is Raising Daughters' first ever fully produced track. This song features the sounds of pedal steel, fiddle, drums, bass, electric and acoustic guitar and tells the story of ending a relationship knowing that it had the chance to be something good. Inspired by the fresh country sound of Kasey Musgraves, the storytelling of Brandi Carlile, and the grit of Liz Phair, this song shows the joy and regret that comes from wondering “what could’ve been…”
